Top cycling teams will pass through the Esk Valley and Whitby on Friday 28 April, Day 1 of the Tour de Yorkshire, which starts at 12.45 in Bridlington and ends at around 17.00 in Scarborough.

Spectators will be able to watch the event for free anywhere along the route but obviously start, finish and climb locations will be most popular.

The train will be the ideal way to get to and from viewing points along the route. The race will go past Sleights, Ruswarp and Whitby stations on the afternoon of Friday 28 April between between 15:15 and 16:30, depending on race conditions.
