Music Train in the Summer
Highway 61 playing the Music Train
We took the 19:18 train from Whitby on Friday evening and travelled up the line to Middlesbrough and back whilst listening to a great band Highway 61 who sang their hearts out for the best part of three hours.
Refreshments from the on-board bar which was selling local real ale from Whitby brewery.
Bands and beers are be announced on the Esk Valley Railway events page.
Quite a few people got off at Danby and Castleton and headed of to the nearby pubs for a meal, then re-joined the train on its way back. You could also do this at Grosmont, Egton, Lealholm & Glaisdale but worth booking ahead or pre-order your meal when leaving Whitby as some of the pubs get quite busy on Friday night.
