Highway 61 playing the Music Train

Highway 61 playing the Music Train

Due to Covid-19 it was not possible to run  the Music & Ale Train in 2020.  Let’s hope we can get back to normal next year.

We took the 19:18 train from Whitby on Friday evening and travelled up the line to Middlesbrough and back whilst listening to a great band Highway 61 who sang their hearts out for the best part of three hours.

Refreshments from the on-board bar which was selling local real ale from Whitby brewery.

Bands and beers are be announced on the Esk Valley Railway events page.

[2019: The Music and Ale Trains ran each Friday evening in June, July and August on the 19:34 service out of Whitby to Middlesbrough, and back at 21:20 from Middlesbrough. Please see Esk Valley Railway events page for full details.]
