We caught the Sunday 10.25 from Whitby to Commondale arriving at 11.10, then walked up the path from the station to Fowl Green Farm (now called Beyond Boundaries. Find out more about Beyond Boundaries on their Facebook page). It was farm open day and there was a lot going on, there was a sheep shearing domo, hand wool spinning, static machinery display and a farm tour. We had a cup of tea and homemade scone with jam and bought some farm grown produce.
We had a tour of the farm and saw all the animal including the lambs which are quite big now and the highland cattle. The farm also let holiday accommodation for a relaxing peaceful holiday. We had a walk to the local pub The Cleveland Arms for a couple of lagers (its the only pub in the village and is very homely) we were joined by the landlords chickens. We made our way back to the station to catch the 14.25 back to Whitby arriving at 15.13.
